Black Oxide
Our process forms a black magnetite finish on all iron and non-stainless steel parts. The process operates effectively at 100 degrees lower than ordinary black oxide. The result is a protective black finish - .00002 (1 micron) thick, with an attractive satin black appearance equal to that of regular black oxide. Because our solution is much milder and cooler, it rinses freely, leading to no salt blooms. Castings and powdered metals turn out a rich black.
Our system complies with MIL-C-13924C, Class 1 and is corrosion resistant. Our product withstands 100-300 hours salt sprays, depending on the sealant used.
